Scripps Mercy Hospital has campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista. Together they comprise the largest hospital in San Diego County and one of the largest in California. Providing outstanding care at two locations allows us to serve San Diego and the south county with an extended network of primary care and specialized physicians.
Our two campuses allow us to offer patients comprehensive care with an enhanced range of medical services. Specialties that are not available at one location are most likely provided at the other location, so our patients experience a seamless continuum of care. Wherever you are in San Diego or the south county, Scripps Mercy's special brand of care is never far away.
San Diego
Our San Diego campus is the county's longest established medical center. At our San Diego campus, we offer all levels of care from routine check-ups and primary care to a wide range of specialty services, including a Level I Trauma Center, Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery Program, 24-hour emergency care, acute medical and surgical services, perinatal care and one of San Diego's only chest pain centers. Our entire patient care team – from physicians, nurses and clinical support staff, to chaplains and volunteers – is committed to providing the highest quality of care.
Chula Vista
At our Chula Vista campus, we offer 24-hour emergency care, intensive care services and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit that provides short-stay intensive care for babies. We also feature the latest in imaging technology, including a new magnetic resonance system with short-bore that is ideal for claustrophobic patients; a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) that allows physicians to access images through any computer; and a new Cardius 3 nuclear medicine camera that gives physicians the ability to perform myocardial rest and stress studies in one day rather than the usual three.
